“If the men in black come back, say as little as possible. Say: I am a little girl and I don't know anything.” Haunted by her mother's touching last words, six year old Leelo vows to be on her best behaviour. It is the midst of the Stalinist tyranny and her mother has been sent to a prison camp. Leelo hopes following her mother's words will somehow bring her back. The world, however, is complex and complicated. Adapted from two autobiographical novels by popular Estonian author Leelo Tungal.
