Just when his family and his job particularly need his presence, Matthew (Jérémie Renier), without any warning, walks out into the woods and decides to stay there. Confronted by this radical act of freedom and unsettled by his sudden absence, his relatives, friends and colleagues come face to face with their own existence and the choices they have made.
